After Carter, I went to North Texas and majored in theater. After graduation, I worked at the Dallas Summer Musicals for a couple of summers. Then I moved to the big city-New York, New York. I loved living there. I toured around the country with several touring shows. Back to NYC. Needing a change, I worked at Goldman Sachs for 2 years and then moved on to be business manager for a production company. Thinking I needed a change, I married and moved to Orlando, FL. Now that I'm divorced, I love living here. I'm active in the arts community. I sang with the Orlando Opera Chorus for 8 years. I just directed Carousel for a local community theater. During the day I'm the Documentation Manager for a banking software company. I have a fiancée, 2 dogs, and 3 cats.

Randy and I have been married 27 years. We have three boys. Phillip is 25 and getting his Microsoft certification and getting married in April. Kenny is 19 and attending Collin County College with plans to transfer to UT. Robert is 17 and a junior in High School. He is the quarterback for the varsity football team and also enjoys lifting weights. Randy & I have still have the LP Gas business as well as a motorcycle shop in Denton that keeps us pretty busy. RICHARD PIERCE

I went to Texas Tech and graduated in 1975 with a BS in Math and a Computer Science minor. I moved to Houston in 1978 and have lived in St. Louis since 1980 where I worked for McDonnell Douglas until 1989. I did computer programming in their purchasing and materials areas. Then I worked as a computer consultant for a little while and then took another programming job from 1990 until 1999. Then I took almost a year off and retrained from mainframe computers to Windows and began working as a consultant in that last year. Object Solutions is me and my boss, that is the whole company. We develop application software for what is referred to as client/server architecture. I got married in 1981 (to the person who was the reason I moved to St. Louis because of) , divorced in 1983 and remarried to my present wife in 1986, about 4 weeks before our 15 year class reunion. We have two boys, 13 and 11, who are h-e-double-hockey-sticks on wheels  if you know what I mean. I have helped coach a lot of boys' baseball teams and was a Scout leader for 6 years. In 1997 I had cancer surgery but so far I am still surviving - one more year to the magic 5 years. I am looking forward to seeing people at the reunion in a few weeks and can be

I am married to Stephen and we have two children, Jeremy Paul (23), Jake Michael (21) and one grandchild, Hailey Marie (2 yrs. 8 mos.) and one due May 28th.  We live in Duncanville, Texas and I work for Dreyers Ice Cream in Sales.  My son Jeremy has been in the Air Force for 4 years, stationed in Las Vegas.  He has re-upped and re-signed and will be stationed in Abilene, Texas.  We will be in the process of helping my son's family make the move back to Texas at the time of the reunion.  My son Jake is still at home.  He's trying out for the Independent League Baseball this month, so it's a chance he could be traveling, playing baseball for a living.  Sorry we won't be attending the Reunion, but we will be on our way to Las Vegas to visit with our Grandson that is due 5/28/01 and Granddaughter, Hailey.  Tell everyone we are sorry to miss seeing them.  See you guys at the next one.

I'm married to Gerry and we have two children, Matt and Anna.  Matt (22) is in an intern program for Disney World. Majoring in Art at Abilene Christian University. Anna (20) is majoring in Photo/Journalism at Cascade College, in Portland, OR.  I graduated  with a BS in Interdisciplinary and studies with a specialization in Education/Social.  We live in Duncanville, TX and I am a teacher with DeSoto I.S.D.  Gerry is a Driver for J. D. Hunt and some of my hobbies are singing, music, reading and crafts.  Well, Ole friends, I can't believe it's been 30 years!!! Many wonderful things have happened since 1971 and I am sure we have all changed, hopefully for the better. I look at those high school days with fond memories. Some of the best times for me were in Mr. Upchurch's chorus and all the fun we had performing in the fantastic Musicals. Many schools now don't have a music program like we had in those days. If you've ever seen Mr. Holland's Opus you know what I mean. For anyone interested, I have a cassette tape copy of the whole Oklahoma musical we put on in 1971. A friend of mine, who has a degree in music, and who I have sung with for years, made the copy off of the original reel to reel made for our school. He was very impressed with the performance and said it sounds more like college age students instead of high school. I will try to bring it to the reunion. Well I have rambled on enough, looking forward to see you Carter Cowboys.

CAROLYN (BROSSEAU) ROGERS-VAUGHN

Greg and I have 7 children together. I had 3 boys and he had 2 girls and 2 boys. We have been married for almost 14 years and have 2 grandsons: Hayden almost 3 and Noah 3 months. Children range from 23 to 30. Greg wrote a book called Letters from Dad and it was released last Father's Day. He has been interviewed by many of our country's largest newspapers and heard on several radio and TV spots.  He speaks all over the country about the book. I, on occasion, accompany him and before he speaks I open with a song. I sing at prayer gatherings, at the ballparks, in churches and weddings. We are truly blessed at being able to do the things that we love and enjoy.

I became an office manager for Southwestern Bell and a Communications Manager for AT&T Long Distance & Wireless. I accepted a buy-out in late 1998 and became a partner in a home remodeling business. I am recently divorced after 19 years of marriage. I'm taking time to work on my house and really enjoy life for a while. I have several trips lined up for this summer. Planning a new job search in the fall. We'll see what direction that takes me in. Well, sorry I can't attend.  You guys did a wonderful job getting all of this put together. Married to Doris since 1990, no kids.   We live in Pineville, Louisiana.   Retired from the US Forest Service in 2008 after 30 years.  Retiring position-- served as the Forest GIS (geographic information systems), GPS (global positioning systems), and Corporate Digital Database Coordinator for the Kisatchie NF in Louisiana.   I love to deer hunt, fish, shoot competitively, ride ATVs, barbeque and just about anything that involves the outdoors or the woods.

I "retired" from Arco Oil & Gas after 15 years and have worked in the Student Ministry office at Park Cities Presbyterian Church for 8 years. I graduated from Amber University shortly after my 40th birthday (better late than never, eh?) I met my dear husband at our church - Plymouth Park Baptist in Irving - and we married in 1997. We are involved in the choir and other ministries at PPBC. Jimmy is a Sr. Systems Analyst and has worked at Halliburton Energy Systems for 20 years. We have no children but we do enjoy our 11 nieces and nephews. We live in a wonderful older neighborhood in Grapevine and really enjoy our home and all the birds we've adopted in our back yard. We vacationed in Tennessee this summer and have decided that is where we want to retire.

Just had my 20th anniversary working at Parkland Memorial Hospital. I still love my job as the manager of Anatomic Pathology. Both daughters graduated from college in 2005. My oldest daughter, Morgan was married in February 2006. My youngest daughter, Jordan is working in the movie business for a production company and loves it. My hobby is setting up fireworks and blowing things up. I am a licensed Pyrotechnician and a Special Effects Operator. That means I can do large outdoor fireworks shows, like on July 4th as well as indoor pyro for concerts. It is lots of work but loads of fun. Life is good!

My husband, Frank, and I have been married since 1985 and live in Carrollton, TX.  He's originally from New Orleans and has lived in the Dallas area since 1974.  We have a 13 year old daughter, Katherine, who will be entering 8th grade at St. Monica Catholic  School.  We stay busy with all of her activities, especially basketball, and look  forward to the joys of living with a teenager!  I also have a 23 year old stepdaughter, Larissa, who graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2000.  She and her husband, Greg, reside in Little Rock where she teaches 2nd  grade and he attends med school. Except for a short stint in San Antonio in the '70s, I've remained in the Dallas area since graduating from Texas A&M.  I've somehow managed to stay employed with Bank of America (and 5 predecessor banks) since 1982, currently serving as a Finance Manager supporting our Military Bank.

I loved the Reunion web page.  It was so much fun looking over old times.  Now to update new times.  I have been married to Gary for 30 years.  We have 2 sons, Randy (26) who is married and has given us a wonderful little grandson, Tanner, who is 4 months old - and Corey (20) who is single and still lives at home.  Gary and our son, Randy, are Allstate agents in DeSoto and I work in the office with them and we hope Corey will soon join us in the family business.  Gary and I bought 10 acres in Grandview 3 years ago and built our dream house which overlooks a 5 acre lake stocked with bass and catfish.  Gary spends lots of time fishing and I spend lots of time rocking on our front porch.  Looking forward to the time when we can retire and travel.

I am still the VA Certifying Official at Dallas Baptist University. During the month of April I was recognized for my 10 years of employment with DBU. My husband Vick (DWC alumni 1968) is still a video tech. Our 3 children have left the nest and are feathering one of their own. Amy, 30, is the mother of two, Bethany Lee who is 2 and a half and Cora Lynn who is 3 months old. She is married to Todd Mabie, who is pastor of Danieldale Baptist Church. Amy is a stay at home mom who is also selling Homemade Gourmet in her "spare" time. They live in Lancaster. Emily, 29, is the mother of two with one due in November. That is right, I am going to be the grandmother of 5. There is no way I am old enough to have 5 grandchildren. Eythan, my first and only grandson is 7 and Charis will be 5 in July. Emily is a stay at home mom who keeps busy home schooling her children. Her husband Jon Havens is currently a commercial insurance adjustor and a worship leader in their church. They live in Aubrey. The "baby" Katy, 26 is a teacher in the DeSoto school district. She teaches 7th grade reading and lives in Cedar Hill. Katy plays piano for our church and has traveled around the world on mission trips. All my daughters are wonderful, godly women and I am so proud of them. They all graduated from Dallas Baptist University and are using their education and talents to help other people. My grandchildren are, as you would expect…beautiful, intelligent and have the most amazing personalities (even the unborn one). So after 35 years I am content. There has been sadness with the death of my mother in 1991 and my brother, Tony in 1998. But God has been generous and keeps blessing our family. Vick and I are still active in our church, Danieldale Baptist Church. We meet there over 40 years ago. Thanks for the wonderful web site. I go there often and just… remember when. A young man at my church attends Carter today. I always tell him what a wonderful school it was back in 1971. And it was…..

Laurie Ward is a Special Education Teacher @ Fredericksburg Elementary. Bruce works w/ the Corporate Real Estate Group for ATT in San Antonio.  Our family resides in Fredericksburg. Oldest daughter, Lindsay will graduate from TX A&M this Aug, and our son Taylor is a Freshman at Texas Tech. Our youngest daughter, Alexandra (Alex) is 16 and a Sophomore @ Fredericksburg HS. Bought our place in Fredericksburg 22 yrs ago, but moved from Dallas and became full time residents 10 yrs ago. Living where we want to live, and living a life that we planned and wanted for many years. Small town living with lots of community involvement & lots of outdoors recreation.

He graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown TX  as a Math Major. Jake is 22 ( and married to Kelly ) . He is a semester away from graduating from UTA with a double major in History and English ( after starting with architecture and engineering ) .  Then he will go on to grad school . My husband took an early retirement last November. I work as a Senior Accountant at Trammell Crow Company doing property management accounting . I am on the " fast track " to retire in 5 years.   Both guys are gone and out of the house .   Skip and I travel as often as possible , as many places as possible.   We will just have returned from a train trip from Chicago to Seattle to San Francisco when we have the reunion.

I work for a company called Penson Financial Services.  We are a clearing house for brokerage firms.  I manage the banking and new accounts departments for Penson.  I'm married and have 2 daughters.  In July I'll be a grandmother for the first time.  I won't be able to be at the reunion this weekend but hope to be at the next one. He is a great tennis player (that comes from Mom also). I am Director of Sales and Operations for ATC Distribution Group South West Region. I am responsible for sales and operations for stores located in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Texas and Memphis, Tennessee. I have to do a lot of traveling but  I really love what I do (most days). That's about it for me. After graduating I attended East Texas State University.  It was there that I was introduced to an Art major, Diane Massey.  From the first moment I saw her, I knew she would be the person I would marry.  This was confirmed when she moved to North Carolina in 1973.  After six months of a very long distance relationship, she agreed to return to Texas to marry me.  We stayed in Commerce through college and moved back to Dallas in 1977.  I started out working for Coca Cola until 1980, when I moved over to Pepsi Cola.  I am still in their employ.  Diane and I lived off Lemmon Avenue, moved up to Carrollton, and ended up buying a house in Plano in 1982.  It was then that we decided to start a family.  And in 1984 we were blessed with a daughter, Ami.  Now Ami is a senior herself at Plano Senior High and is a member of the varsity soccer team.  Diane has recently switched jobs and works for RealPage.  I still work for Pepsi Cola and coach an Under 19, Girls soccer team.  Life has been good to all of us.  Well, it's been a "trip" going over the site.  You've done an excellent job.  Thank you for all the work you've put in.  You may notice that my first name came up, and I never used it at school. That's because being the third of three living generations with the same name left me using the middle name, Brooks, all my life.  (I still use it now.), and finally, the reason for my absence at the reunion.  I did receive the messages in a timely fashion and apologize for my absence.  I was attending a two week national coaching course at UTD and the times simply conflicted.  Thank you again for your efforts to keep us in touch.
